Join our convener Rev. Joseph Yerger and his wife as they host the House of Gordon USA tent at the St Andrews Society of Detroit Highland Games on August 1-2! The games on Saturday will have Highland Dancing, Heavy Athletics, Pipes and Drums and more! There is definitely something for everyone! “The Heavy Athletics event at Greenmead draws the top Men’s Professional athletes from all over the country including National and World champions. There is also a Men’s Amateur Athletic Class. Amateur competition is held in the morning, and professional competition is held in the afternoon.” While those events are by invitation only to compete, there is a Haggis Toss Challenge that is open to the public. So come test your skill and Hurl the Haggis and support your local convener!
